Well today I was shocked as the owner pulled me off the floor and offered me one of the salaried mgr positions...20-22k to start at beginning of year. The downfall is I have to commit to stay here for awhile, but the positive is I will get more training along with corporate certified and go to Hamburger Univ (YES there is such a place) in chicago and get corporate trained and that means in 9-12 months I can walk into any MCD and start as a salaried mgr or even work for a corporate regional office. It's an opportunity I almost can't turn down, but that means more time away from those I love, especially my boys!!!! The flip is that I would get vacation time plus I would strong control over my schedule, which means I could escape for 3-4 days at a time which would allow me to visit those I love. The mental turmoil has started and I'm open to all thoughts and ideas. It's so amazing to feel worth something in a business setting again, as I have really doubted myself and my abilities!!! |
