well the weekend is maybe over finally, since 2 pm friday I have worked almost 40 hours and death would be nice. I took a header during lunch tripping over a box in the wrong place and slammed the back of my head and body on the floor...now 7 hours later head some what better but cant move back or bend at all, paralysis would maybe be less painful :(!!!! rest is goal for the night with hopes of movement in AM as need to write about 4 schedules in AM and home to meet brother for lunch on his way back to MI. and then some rest I hope before unloading truck and doing order mon night!!!

It has been month's since I have posted and not even sure if I have anything new or valuable to share. I have moved up in the burger flippin world as I am currently the second assistant general manager for our store, which in 2 weeks will be assistant general manager (store manager leaving). With the drop of the second there is no pay difference, just tons more responsibility!!!! starting tomorrow I will be in charge of all schedules, training, ordering, delivery check in, and inventory!!!! I am pretty sure I will fail, but I look forward to trying to implement new ideas. I am also almost complete with the 2nd mgmnt course the arches offer (will graduate the 26th) and have a seminar in KC on the 28th regarding inventory I am hoping to attend. sadly, that is all and I truly hate that, I'm sure there is more but can't think of it as I work 70+ hrs a week and when im not there im working on new ideas and plans. GRRRR!!! on a positive note I got the buckcherry CD today (crazy bitch), I put it as the song on myspace and seems to help me relax and get the arches out of my head...that song with a little blue october, NIN and prince and im able to clear my head for a moment (the blessing of music) and then I go to bed (to yes, lay there wishing my brain would shut off!!!!!) I realize this was a very boring and uninformative post, but all my friends on LJ I do apologize for seeming to be absent the last few months and hope to be more active in days and weeks to come (I can hope can't I).

that was WAY FUN...I need to find more of those!!!!

Well today I was shocked as the owner pulled me off the floor and offered me one of the salaried mgr positions...20-22k to start at beginning of year. The downfall is I have to commit to stay here for awhile, but the positive is I will get more training along with corporate certified and go to Hamburger Univ (YES there is such a place) in chicago and get corporate trained and that means in 9-12 months I can walk into any MCD and start as a salaried mgr or even work for a corporate regional office. It's an opportunity I almost can't turn down, but that means more time away from those I love, especially my boys!!!! The flip is that I would get vacation time plus I would strong control over my schedule, which means I could escape for 3-4 days at a time which would allow me to visit those I love. The mental turmoil has started and I'm open to all thoughts and ideas. It's so amazing to feel worth something in a business setting again, as I have really doubted myself and my abilities!!!

well my morning started at 6 am with it being below zero windchill car covered in ice and me having to be to work at 7....In my fight with my passenger side car door...(for those thqat don't know drivers side door handle already broke) I snapped off my door handle...so a 2 door car with no door handles is an issue, so i started to try and pry the passenger side window open, which of couse shattered it. so I head to work as open passenger side door (no window makes it easy :) ) and open the drivers side door, move glass out of the way and then head to work...on my break I went to a car wassh to vaccuum up the glass and in the process the bar that holds the window fell and now passenger side door doesnt open and of course i had closed the drivers side door and didnt leave window rolled down so I squeeze through the window to open drivers door, (now I am not the smallest person in the world and had to be quite a sight, plus my fingers were purple and burning from the cold and the couple cuts didnt help either) so I got back to work and left window of drivers side down. I was not a great person at work today thanks to these adventures but thanks to weather we had 3 people call in and I was stuck. one of the kids (freshman in college) that works with me was in between classes and stopped in and he was kind enough to go get me a couple estimates for my car as I was working...one place the window alone was around 500 and the other the window and the 2 door handles would be a little over 800. I asked around and have a couple more places to check from those that have lived in this town longer than 8 months and know people. I plan on doing that tomorrow as when I got off work I went to home depot, bought duct tape and plastic and wrapped up my passenger side window...I could afford to get car fixed after getting paid next friday, but there goes my savings and my ability to pick up my boys :(. That has brought me to tears more than I can count today and still is...I am sure that it will all work out but at this point I don't see it happening...I'm off to crawl in bed and cry some more...its not the car that bothers me it is the fact of disappointing my kids yet again and feeling totally helpless...I think I am done for the day and at this point I'm tired of all the challenges and obstacles in my life...just sad and blah!!!!!! I hope everyone else can stay warm (apt about 40 degrees right now :( as landlord was blowing insulation and had door open and I always shut the heat off when im gone ... 2 electric heaters and the stove!!!!) and has a better day....sorry for the length also!!!!

Overall, I've been naughty (-5018 points). For Christmas I deserve a spanking!

I am home from work early as asked to go....we were slow and since I already have 26 hrs in since monday I was the chosen one...although the gen mgr didnt want me to leave he knew it was the correct thing to do...even the owner checked to see if others would go before me...I guess he isnt that tired of paying me 10+ hrs overtime every week!!!!! I am off to do laundry and then relax...I have tomorrow off (no idea what im doing :( ) and other than that just freezing...chance of snow again and hi in the upper 30's and rainy and VERY windy!!!! I plan on contacting landlord and seeing if he will ever get windows done...if not tomorrow is plastic and warm house day!!!! thanks to some great ideas I will need to do some thrift shopping also but my place won't be 40 degrees every time I come home!!!!! sometime need to shop for food also...BLAH!!!! I hate shopping and cooking for myself...it serves no good purpose, I need to be around people again!!!!! I hope very soon!!!!

well I bit the bullet and bought plastic...need to call landlord also to see if I can put plastic on outside also (with the help of H's mom...I hope ... she offered but was during idle chit chat the other day) so I'll try and get that put up...(if no one hears from me in a day or 2 I'm wrapped in plastic and not in a fun way either and I can't get out :)!!!) ... I couldn't wait anylonger as was 27 degrees this moning and it felt all of that in my apartment also (except where space heater was)... I also need to call and get car door fixed...as passenger side is now sticking...I tore it all apart (YAY me!!!) but I still cant get the handle out UGH!!!! Other than that work went well..of course had 3 people call in again today...so at one point this morning I actually would take the order...go make it and then hand it out...UGH!!!! & I am the official food safety person now it seems so when we transition to lunch I have to temp and check everything along with making sure it all runs smoothly...OK off to play PS2 :) and veg for a bit (until I probably fall asleep....OH SHIT...well just got called to work 8-11 tonight UGH!!!! and then open tomorrow after opening today...OH WELL I can't complain hours mean $!!!

I was so excited as today was my first day off in a long time....after unloading truck last night I finished my 2nd straight 55+ hr week...UGH!!!! I was sad as we had a new truck driver and 2 people not show up at work (nothing new) so unfortunately did not leave work til about 8:30 which meant I missed my chance to tell boys good night :(!!!! I stayed up late looking forward to sleeping in and resting all day...only to be called at 7AM to come to work PLEASE!!!! so I worked only 5 hours on my day off so better than the 8-10 hr days I have been putting in!!!! I am excited though as I am the proud owner of a new PS2!!! For those that don't know I am a proud arches employee and due to our inability to "play" monopoly our store was entered into a drawing for crew prizes by being a certified store and with my help and many reminders our gen mgr sent all our info in so we got the pins and entered in the drawing and we won!!!! our store received $6500 in Best Buy goodies...a PSP, 3 PS2, an XBOX & 3 satellite radios along with many video games!!!! Our store then had a drawing based on performance over the last weekend (Homecoming for Truman Univ) which was terribly busy. Since I covered 3 shifts this weekend plus working my own 2 shifts I was surprisingly :) drawn as the winner of a PS2 (& its the slimline one with built in online ability)!!!! So I will be chilling out and playing that on the rest of my day off...had to rent a basketball game as the only game I want to buy (TW07) is no where in this town...and its even rented also GRRRR!!!! We also officially had snow yesterday (none is still on ground!!!) so that sucked while unloading truck!!!! Also, while doing laundry I may have gotten a DJ gig in 2 weeks...and many more if it works out well...so YAY!!!! that is all for now...I think!!!!

First off Im very excited to see my brother in-law in the next few hours... I havent seen him since Nov of 2004. He is on his way to KC for the NASCAR race and is heading over here to say hi and bring me stuff that parents TOOK (a very frustrating and long story for more people than just me :) )!!! Along with many other things that my sis thought I may need, plus some other things I had in IA!!! I really should be sleeping but just can't...my work schedule has been so crazy this week...close mon, open tues, open wed then come back and close wed night, then open thurs and spent most of day there...nothing like already having 5 hours of overtime...and still have weekend!!!
I have now had 2 psycho encounters in my new place thanks to last night...the first one was about 4 weeks ago when some lady just walked in my apt as she was looking for an apt to rent...so just walked in (WTF!!!) I am lucky that I was just cooking in kitchen and already ready for the day. then last night I got home from work about 10...(unloaded truck and then switched out stock for new promotion & then did waste and inventory stuff!!!), and of course veged on computer and watching TV for an hour or 2 (couldn't sleep)...finally about 1 headed to bed (had to be at work b4 7) just to be awoke by pounding on my door at 3 am...some guy was sure he knew who lived here and wanted to stop by and say hi (at 3 am WTF!!!!). Luckily he was a nice & friendly drunk guy at 3 am so he apologized and left...and of course I was awake so damn I need sleep!!! UGH!!!! I am getting more and more anxious to get out of MO, for so many reasons!!!! but the psychos I keep encountering here add to that!!!

Well I did toast and Bake today again...which truly meant I WAS the muffin man :). and then did buns (will there be any time I say or type or think that and not get a big smile on my face....;) ). Then finished the day on grill, which was hot and sucked...especially after I burned myself on the fillet bun steamer (note to all reader's...don't take a chunk of steel at 400 degrees or so and set it on your arm ... needless to say it left a mark!!! (about the size of my entire thumb & blister or welt is a good 1/4 inch above rest of arm) Otherwise work went well...need to do homework but no ambition ... weather finally broke...about 85 and a nice breeze so it feels like it is 60 in shade...better than 100 in the shade that we have had ... not much else new ... my life is truly too boring ... I need visitors!!!! (hint, hint!!! :) )(but I also know not very financially or physically feasable :( ) Oh real Genius is on comedy Central...what a great movie!!!
